Clemson Festival of ARTS on Saturday , May 19th 10:00 am in the morning until 8:00 pm in the evening

Our second annual ARTS Festival in downtown Clemson at Catherine Smith, Jaycee, and Abernathy Parks. Art, music, sculpture, sidewalk art contest, children’s activities, food, and the first 5K Art Walk/Run. The Arts Center in Clemson organized the Clemson Festival of Arts that was held at Catherine J. Smith Plaza on May 21 2011. The Clemson Festival of Arts included artist guild members of The Arts Center representing the visual, performing, and literary arts. Artists displayed demonstrated, and sold their fine artistry among the beautiful landscape of Catherine J. Smith plaza and Jaycee Park. Events included The Arts Stage with story tellers and songwriters from 10 – 6, an interactive arts project for children in Jaycee park, a sidewalk chalk competition and local and fabulous food vendors. A full “art full” day! This event is always open to the public with free admission.
State of the ARTS Luncheon on Thursday, May 17th at 11:30am
Member-Guest Celebration at The ARTS Center on Friday, May 18th at 6:30 with food, drink, and entertainment. The Founding 50 Sculpture is scheduled to be unveiled, so plan to make a toast.

Summer ART Camp
The Arts Center marked its 5th anniversary for its ever popular Summer Arts Camp. The camp has maintained its momentum, serving over 300 upstate children per year and their families since its inception in 2007. Summer Art Camp offers students, from ages 3 – 16, fine art classes taught by professional artists. Classes include papermaking, experimental collage, drawing, painting, clay construction, photography, and more

They say that getting there is half the fun, and in conjunction with the Clemson University Lee Gallery and The Arts Center in Clemson, SC, you can be provided with a Passport to the Arts, including 4 different venues and 4 different experiences. So grab your passport and let the CAT (Clemson Area Transit) bus take you to the 4 hot spots in Clemson for an evening of live music, spirits, food and fine art!
The passport entitles bearers to one free glass of wine, beer or a non-alcoholic beverage; live music; and art exhibits at each of the locations, plus entertainment on the Clemson Area Transit (CAT) buses.
