Learn how to fuse glass enamel onto copper to create colorful and unusual pendants. All levels are welcome. Closed-toe shoes and long pants are required.
Etching and Pattern Making with Beth Gautsch
Tuesdays and Thursdays, April 17-26 6-9pm
Design and etch your own metal plates out of brass. Using the rolling mill the metal plates will be used to create a sterling silver bracelet with multiple panels. Some soldering required.
Cloisonné Enameling with Patricia Stalb
Mondays, May 7-21 6-9pm
Learn the secrets of cloisonne enamel! Spend three evenings focusing on forming fine silver wire designs and fusing them onto an enameled background. You will fire these designs with rich colored enamel to create your own unique piece. All levels are welcome. Good eyesight and magnification are necessary. Closed-toe shoes and long pants required.
Hollowform Happiness with Beth Gautsch
Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 19-28 6-9pm
Students will learn how to create hollow shapes, know as hollow forms, using sterling silver sheet metal. This technique allows the metal smith to affordably increase the scale of the piece or to create shapes that might otherwise be challenging. In this class, students will create two hollow pendants or earrings. Basic soldering and sawing experience is helpful but not necessary. Close toe shoes and long pats are required. Good eyesight and magnification are necessary.

Chain Maille Weaving Workshop with Angela Morgan
Saturday, July 21 10 am-3 pm
Create two pairs of sterling siver earrings using basic Chain Maille techniques. No soldering necessary. patters will include byzantine and another pattern of the instructor's choice.

Get Fired up for Enamel Pendants! with Patricia Stalb and Beth Gautsch
Tuesdays and Thursdays, July 10-19 6-9 pm
Students will spend two evenings learning how to form and prepare copper, apply enamel and fire the pieces in a kiln to result in multiple copper enameled disks. The other two evenings will be spent learning several different prong setting techniques to turn your colorful enamel disks into beautiful pendants. All levels are welcome. Closed toe shoes and long pants are required.
