This studio is equipped with everything you need to make beautiful jewelry. We have all the tools to create sterling silver or copper bracelets, earrings and pendants by soldering, sawing, piercing and folding. We have currently expanded our class offerings to include enameling.

Basic Welding and Steel Sculpture with Edwin Lashley
Sundays, January 21-28 1-4pm
Learn the basics of gas welding, bending and forming steel! Sculpt your own small steel sculpture to display in your yard. Beginners welcome. Closed-toe shoes and cotton clothing are required.

The Basics of Jewelry Fabrication with Beth Gautsch
Tuesdays, January 23-February 27 6-9pm
Join us for a six (6) week course in the basics of jewelry fabrication from stone setting to soldering and beyond! Practicing weekly is the best way to build skills that will last. Three hour class meets one evening per week for 6 weeks. This class will focus on the basics of jewelry fabrication that includes sawing, filing and sanding, hammering and texturing, soldering, sweat soldering, soldering mixed metals, riveting, and stone setting. Students will make 4 to 5 different components and a chain to create a 20” to 30” charm necklace.

Introduction to Enameling on Copper with a Kiln with Patricia Stalb
Mondays, February 5-12 6-9pm
Enameling is the ancient art of fusing powdered glass onto a metal surface with heat. You will learn how to form and prepare copper, apply the enamel, and fire the pieces in a kiln. Take home several colorful enameled pieces. All levels are welcome. Closed-toe shoes and long pants are required.

Couples Cuff Bracelet Workshop with Beth Gautsch
Sunday, February 11 10am-4pm
Create a one-of-a-kind cuff bracelet for yourself or with your significant other. In this workshop, you will pattern or stamp a design onto sterling silver or copper sheet, then embellish your cuff with a heart to create an elegant cuff that can be worn every day. Additional $15.00 material cost for silver paid to instructor.

Enamel and Prong Setting Pendants with Patricia Stalb and Beth Gautsch
Tuesdays and Thursdays, March 6-15 6-9pm
This four session class will be spent enameling powdered glass enamel onto copper pieces and then learning different ways to set your enamel disks using prongs to create several pendant necklaces. You will spend the two Tuesday nights enameling and the two Thursday nights truing your enamel pieces into pendants.

Torch Enameled Pendants on Copper with Patricia Stalb
Mondays, April 16-23 6-9pm
Learn how to fuse glass enamel onto copper to create colorful and unusual pendants. All levels are welcome. Closed-toe shoes and long pants are required.

Etching and Pattern Making with Beth Gautsch
Tuesdays and Thursdays, April 17-26 6-9pm
Design and etch your own metal plates out of brass. Using the rolling mill the metal plates will be used to create a sterling silver bracelet with multiple panels. Some soldering required.

Cloisonné Enameling with Patricia Stalb
Mondays, May 7-21 6-9pm
Learn the secrets of cloisonne enamel! Spend three evenings focusing on forming fine silver wire designs and fusing them onto an enameled background. You will fire these designs with rich colored enamel to create your own unique piece. All levels are welcome. Good eyesight and magnification are necessary. Closed-toe shoes and long pants required.
