Acrylic Butterflies
with Aldo Muzzarelli
Texture, texture, texture! This class will teach guidelines to creating work with modeling paste. Using a spatula, students will create a risen butterfly image to then be painted with acrylic paint. Muzzarelli, a master of Fresco and other textured painting, will help you create two 8x10 works on canvas. This class is designed for those who have an intermediate understanding of drawing.

Fluid Art (Poured Painting)
with Dr. Aubrey Coffee
The two day workshop will introduce you to acrylic pouring! We will go over the materials, pouring methods, and finishes. You can expect 2-4 pieces from this two day workshop. The workshop is available to children 12 and over in attendance with their parents.

Mixed Media Landscapes
with Penny Henthorne
In this two day workshop, students will create a landscape of rolling hills with an old church or barn. We will use acrylic paint, fabric scraps, ribbon, yarn and decorative trim to add details. Simple embroidery stitches and buttons will be added for textural interest. The finished artwork will be eye catching based on the unique layers of color, pattern, and texture.

Landscapes in Acrylic
with Dr. Ginger Hicks
Learn the fundamentals of landscapes and painting with acrylics. In this class, we will discuss and practice landscape compositions, acrylic painting techniques, and color mixing. Students should bring an original photo of a simple landscape or waterscape (preferably no people or buildings). This class is for beginning to intermediate painters. If you have taken Ginger's class before, you will further develop the skills and techniques learned for more complex images.
