Materials fees are included in the tuition pricing. You do not need to bring any materials.
Registration is required 3 days before the start of a class or workshop.
You are not registered unless paid in full.
If you are a Clemson resident your discount will be applied before you pay.
You will need to register each child separately to get all discounts.

Mixed Media Madness with Penny Henthorne
ages: 1st-5th grade
Your child will use paint, paper, and found objects to create imaginative works of art! Penny will lead students to think about color theory and composition while piecing together mixed media works. You can expect 1-3 pieces from this 4 day class.

Paper Collages with Erin Thompson
ages: 6th-8th grade
This class will teach design and composition skills. Students will be given materials such as magazines, newspapers, photos, books, and colored papers. Students will cut and paste materials onto a board and create compositions based on given prompts. Students are welcome to bring their own materials to cut and use in collages, but materials will be provided. Erin will encourage creativity while leading the students to choose design elements that achieve their chosen aesthetic. This class is beginner friendly, and the knowledge from this course can be applied to many other artistic practices!

Film & Youtube Production with Vonya Bokar
ages 6+
Looking for aspiring filmmakers, movie watchers, and creatives! Come join us to learn about the filmmaking process. Topics of interest could be anywhere from camera equipment, directing, screenwriting, to editing, and more! Vanya, a Clemson University Film Major, is a wealth of knowledge and can tailor the class based on common interests, skill levels, and age groups. You can expect a short, hands-on production which can be shared via a password protected link.

Kids Clay with Emily Freelin
ages 6-9
Come get messy! Students will learn fundamental handbuilding techniques like coil and slab construction. Emily caters instruction to the students' interests; figures, characters, and animals are typical inspo for small sculptures. Students will experience the pottery wheel as well! You can expect 2-3 pieces from this two day class.

Tween Clay with Emily Freelin
ages 10-12
Come get messy! Students will be introduced to the pottery wheel and explore construction techniques on the handbuilding table. This class is open to beginners and returning students! You can expect 2-4 pieces from this two day class.

Character Creation with Aspyn Jervis
ages: 6th-12th grade
Students will learn basic anatomy and elements of design while drafting their own characters. Aspyn will teach different illustration styles including realism, 20's cartoon, and manga/anime. Students will use their favorite style to create their own characters. Students will learn about basic perspective and composition while exploring the narrative and environment for our created characters.

Illustration 101 with Aspyn Jervis
ages: 6th-12th grade
Simple sketches will be elevated into full compositions in this fundamental illustration class! We will discuss elements of design while learning about foreground, background, and the rule of three. Students will be tasked with creating a full composition based on a prompt. You can expect 1-2 full pieces from this class.

Watercolor with Aspyn Jervis
ages: 6+
Come get comfortable with watercolor paints! Students will learn to achieve different textures and effects. Aspyn will teach students to utilize saturation, shadows and highlights to create a realistic painting. You can expect 1 final piece from the class.
